Make Fresh Brewed Iced Tea

by Imperial Tea Garden August 01, 2017

Labor Day is only weeks away. This is your opportunity to showcase some homemade fresh brewed iced tea. Buy real tea leaves, brew real tea leaves and drink real iced tea!

Any loose leaf tea can be turned into iced tea, but making fresh brewed iced tea that leaves your friends and family in amazement and wondering what your secret recipe is... well, that will require a little help from Imperial Tea Garden®

Perfect Iced tea starts with selecting the right tea leaves.  For those who want a classic fresh brewed iced tea taste - Baja iced tea blend is hard to beat.  We made a harmonious blend of smooth China black tea with the malty flavor of an Assam black tea from India that makes a flawless iced tea every time.  Add sugar and lemon to taste.

Iced Tea Preparation:
AMOUNT TO USE: To make 1 L/1 QT, put 6 slightly heaping teaspoons of loose tea into a teapot. Pour 1¼ cups/315ml of boiling water over tea.

BREWING RECOMMENDATIONS: Steep 5 minutes. Fill a serving pitcher 1/4 full with cold water. Pour tea into serving pitcher straining the tea. Add ice, top-up with cold water, garnish and sweeten to taste.
We always like to get the most of our tea so we recommended steeping a second time and blending with the first batch.  Then discard the brewed tea leaves by mixing directly in your garden soil or adding to your compost.
